Nissan made some assumptions about flow, pressures, and temps for the stock lube system and modulated everything based simply on oil pressure. I'm sure this works perfectly for the stock setup. The further away you go from stock the more you have to reevaluate the stock assumptions and make adjustments accordingly. Get smart on the lube system and you'll figure out what you really need. Simply removing the restriction is not a smart approach, although it may be sufficient. Who knows.
